Retina-Searing Poncho

My first Finished Object of 2009.  In all it's glory here is the Retina-Searing Poncho for The Kiddo.  It is a mix of some wacky, neon-y, handspun yarn that really had no other purpose than being a kid's item.  IMG_1272 IMG_1277  IMG_2491
I wanted to use it all so I thought of a poncho.  I guessed at how many stitches to cast on and then pretty much used the pattern for A Very Harlot Poncho.   I ran out of the handspun soon enough and grabbed the only leftovers that remotely matched this outrageous yarn.  She is happy with it, I'm happy that the yarn has been used, and you can bet she will get noticed with this number when we are out and about ;)

Statistical data:

  • Pattern – A Very Harlot Poncho
  • Yarn – Handspun by me along with bits of leftovers
  • Needles – US Size 9
  • Knitting Time – 2 days
