Finished Object

I was able to get the Boteh Scarf washed and blocked yesterday.  It looks much nicer!  I’m pretty happy with it, even though I mucked up the second triangle direction, but there was no way I was ripping out the entire thing just to fix it.  Like I said, I don’t know how great I did the edging, but it seemed to turn out okay.  I’m pretty proud of myself having actually finished it!  Here’s the stats:

  • Pattern – Boteh Scarf by Kathy Merrick, found in Interweave Crochet Spring 2007100_2627
  • Yarn – Claudia’s Handpaints, colorway Oops.  I had just a very small amount of yarn left over.
  • Hook – US Size F/5
  • Took me – About a month.
  • Comments – My first wearable crochet item – yay me!

I didn’t have a clean shirt to put on for modeling, so you get my kitchen chair instead 🙂  If I were to make this again, I think I’d choose a brighter yarn.  You can definitely see the difference in the two skeins of yarn, one has a lot more light in it than the other.  I’m still happy though.
